May 28 - June 2, 2002
Ebeltoft, Denmark

THE MASTERCLASS
It’s now the fourth time that The Animation Workshop proudly organizes the Richard Williams Animation MasterClass.

Richard Williams is still going strong, and is providing animators from all around the world with what is the most important in animation: Inspirational knowledge!

These five days will frame the perfect opportunity to get new inspiration, do better animation and establish contacts with studios and people from all around the world. In 2001 we had visitors from Scandinavia, USA, Canada, Philippines, Mexico, Germany, United Kingdom, Iceland, Finland and the Netherlands.

The Master Class is about how things move and specific work methods used to make drawings live. It is also about techniques to increase footage output in order to be good and fast at the same time.

This intensive course is designed for professionals in the field including: ‘classical’ animators, puppet and computer animators, web animators, assistants, directors, producers, layout artists and instructors.

THE EVENING WORKSHOPS

- 2D studio facility
- 3D setups (Puppet-workshop)
- Live Drawing (lead by Artem Alexeev, Russian drawing artist)
- Acting Workshop (lead by Robert Bennet, educated by Etienne Decroux)
