AnimeNEXT 2004 (June 18-20 NY/NJ/CT)

next_small.jpgAnimeNEXT 2004 will take place at the Crowne Plaza Meadowlands in Secaucus, NJ on June 18-20, 2004. Just 5 miles outside of NYC, the hotel is conveniently accessible via NJ Transit Bus #124/129 out of the Port Authority in NYC, NJ Transit trains out of Penn Station, and is just minutes away from Newark Liberty International Airport.

Pre-register before June 1, 2004, for $10 off adult and child memberships. And if you intend to stick around for our great late night activities, they recommend that you book a room at the hotel. A special low rate of $99 per night with the hotel. Take advantage before the rooms sell out!

Come hear representatives from anime companies talk about their latest acquisitions and newest titles. There is sure to be some exciting news from one of these companies.

Musical Guest: Cosmicity
Musical line-up has been rounded out by Cosmicity. Mark Nicholas is a one-man Synthpop band working under the name Cosmicity. His latest album “Escape Pod For Two” has taken his computer based, sci-fi-themed music to new heights, opening the eyes of thousands of Yu-gi-Oh! collectors around the world. Cosmicity is being brought to us by the record label “A Different Drum”.

Panelist Guest: Rob Malda [ SLASHDOT.ORG ]
CmdrTaco, founder of Slashdot, will be returning to the show to give his unique spin on anime. Slashdot has been a long-time provider of tech news for the masses. Anime news items frequently creep into the headlines for the site. Rob Malda also has an anime review website located at [ http://www.animefu.com ].

Universal Animation is a non-profit organization devoted to promoting anime and manga in the United States. Founded in NYC in 2002, the company is organizing the AnimeNEXT convention to aid in its goals.
